Morning Magazine is broadcast alternatly on a weekly basis by ARD an ZDF. The programme runs from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and is market leader in the field of breakfast information television. It looks at a variety of subjects and fields of interest, interspersed with half-hourly short news and weather reports and one sport block. The brief for the design was to achieve both a more modern design as well as a more coherent style, unifying the different fields of info graphics and individual elements, shown mainly in the Vidiwall. The Opener shows images and mood elements from Berlin and concludes with a panorama view of the ZDF capital city Studio. The colour coding echoest he palette of a sunrise, segment bars slide into view in layers and represent the morning in a series of colour levels. Jürgen Bieling created a new Studio for Morning Magazine. An important innovation in the design was again the Logo, abbreviated by us from Morgenmagazin to mo:ma. Simultaneously, the Corner Logo acts as a clock and alternates between logo and clock in the lower left corner of the screen.
