When the Ukrainian private TV channel “TRK“ was to be relaunched 2008 with a new name and branding, the main news show, “Sobytiya” was also to be renewed. TRK was aiming at a younger and more female target group but was essential to establish a design that would retain the existing viewers as well. The Globe, as the main symbol for news, is surrounded by data networks and orbit shapes, illustrating the flow of information. The sport and weather slot openers act in the same design language as the main opener. They use the image of the Globe in a colour variation and expand the look with additional thematic elements to assert their independent personality within the brand.
