“The Caravan of the Chefs” / “Karawane der Köche”, is a SAT.1 prime time TV road show with cult chefs Tim Mälzer and Roland Trettl and is riding exactly on this totally hip wave of characterful street food where everything is prepared fresh and unique, giving an opportunity to the young and innovative chefs to win one of the exclusively equipped food trucks for their start-up. Renowned trend setting chefs Tim Mälzer and Roland Trettl are leading this culinary battle on four wheels, traveling through whole Germany, actively accompanied by the social media.
Luxlotusliner was very happy having the opportunity to create the design package including logo, opener, bumper, different lower thirds, endcredits and roadmap. A fork in the truck, a striking logo visual in pink right in the middle of meadows and endless wheat fields crossed with dynamically animated pink and white lines as an abstract of road markings and reminiscence on the road trip are building the basic of all elements and were our first way to go. Furthermore, we integrated the wooden cutting boards as plates for inserts with sympathetic cooking book typography, having always the exquisite cooking in our minds. We transported the handmade and freshness touch through drawn pictograms of city symbols on the road map and handwritten today meals on the typical restaurants blackboards, used as background plates. Road show, gourmet cuisine, competition! Let the games begin!
