In March 2009, the three rebranded main channels of Egypt's public broadcaster ERTU (the Egyptian Radio and Television Union) went on-air. The main key visual for the new group brand and its channels is the pyramid, used in all elements, both on-air and off-air. For the Ramadan season, starting mid-August 2009, we created one campaign for the two main channels with a series of seasonal Ramadan idents with a particular Ramadan setting and introduced a specific key-visual for that holy month: mobiles. These hanging decorations are made out of handwritten and handmade Ramadan greetings on paper, half-moons in copper and textured foils. The idents for ESC, the satellite channel, were given typical Egyptian Ramadan lanterns. The shooting follows the same principle as the brand idents of the channel.
